Yes, I know I haven’t been writing anything on this blog lately, I have been busy with other matters but I am still working on Book 2, which by December it will be completed. Chandra’s Quest has been, by far the most tedious book series to complete. it's taken me almost 12 years! LOL
I’ve made changes and when I edit, I make sure I edit several times before publishing. I promise that in a week or two I will have another excerpt to post. But in the meantime, I will post quotes, & pictures on my Facebook page. If you don’t already know about Chandra’s Quest Facebook page, link is below.

New Video!!

I finally finished my book trailer and it is now available on YouTube! It took me a while to complete because of the editing I had to do to it and I was ill for a few weeks as well but I did it!!

Pictures used are from various wallpapers. I should have made the trailer two years ago but, didn’t think about it until I saw some other book trailers done by various Indie/Self-published authors. 

Some were professionally done, with expensive software and some were done the same way as mine, with average computer software, easy to handle. I am still working on the book trailer for Chandra’s Quest, it’s not an easy thing to do but I am confident that it will work out and give people a more visual view of what the book/books are about. Chandra’s Quest is rated a 4 star on Amazon. It hasn’t been rated on Kindle even though people have downloaded it. The book is sci-fi/fantasy, written for 16 and over. That’s all I have for now. In a few weeks I will post excerpts/spoilers, from book 2. TY for visiting.

Seems Like Yesterday

I was reminiscing about when I first started writing my first book, Chandra's Quest. It was eighteen years ago and as I was going over some notes that I wrote back in the early 1990s I couldn't decide what I should cal my book. The notes were jumbled, and frankly I wasn't sure how to get started on writing my book, but while I was watching one of my favorite sci-fi shows, (Earth Final Conflict circa 1997) it hit me---the title for my book! Shandara's Journey. On that very year I gave birth to my youngest son and to my book.  However, the following year  I decided to change the title to, Chandra's Quest.

Something shorter and catchier, you know.  I did my writing when my children went to bed at night. I wrote for 45 minutes, four times out of the week. I used a type writer because we did not have a computer at the time; we didn’t get one until 2000. I did my best with what I had. 

The first book out of the series was completed in 2001, I published it in 2002 with Instantpublishers.com. Out of the twenty five books I ordered from them, I sold half on Amazon.

 As I look back now, I think of how I could have done things a bit differently; maybe I should have waited two more years on publishing my first book. Chandra’s Quest Book 1 was written as a first person narrative. The revised version, is not. 

Yes, the book has developed some fans and some Haters. Never-the-less, I am grateful that I got the chance in this lifetime to write my book. I am very proud of what I’ve written and wish all self-published authors out there luck with their books too. 

**Recently, someone ordered a copy of my book through Amazon and not through a third party seller. I am happy but the royalties could be better.

However, it’s okay. As long as people enjoy my books, that’s all that matters.

New Entry for November : Royalties

It’s been a while since I’ve written IN THIS blog, but to be honest I really haven’t come up with anything new of late. I have been busy with my eBay shop & Amazon storefront. I would like to inform people that when I published my book through CreateSpace I checked off the book stores where it can be sold. Other sellers are selling my book too. 

My royalties are NOT what most people think either. If a third party seller sells my book I only get half from the sales.

Update for June

This is for the month of June:
     I'm almost done going over In the Company of Elves book, I have added another story behind it,The White Deer. I haven't quite finished it yet and I don't want to give too much away so I will leave it at that. 
     In the Company of Eves is on Amazon but is unavailable at the moment. However the ISBN number should remain the same when I publish it through CreateSpace. Yes, I will make it available as an eBook too.
